Fabrics Specifications
MELFABCO, INC. fabrics have been developed and continuously tested to meet the standards and criteria required by its customers.
Our fabrics are generally produced, dyed & finished at an I.S.O rated plant. Most are woven with Inherently Fire Resistant fiber (yarns) creating a fabric which in unaltered form will remain fire resistant for the life of the product. The finished fabric constructions vary and specifics are provided upon request.
The pertinent fire resistant tests passed are: National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 701-1999 (Small Scale). The NFPA 701-1989 (Large Scale). ASTM E-84 Class 1 or A. City of New York Board of Standards and Appeal Bulletin # 44 ( Cal. No. 294-40-SR) California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, Office of the State Fire Marshall Section 13115 Registration No. F-23200 thru 03 No Fiber Glass or Asbestos are used in products we manufacture
